We'll start our journey way back when Channel Nine sported a different, bulkier, clunkier poll layout. In their infinite wisdom, they decided to ask about tipping in restaurants. (Why? Beats me.)

Yes, that's right, 96% of respondents didn't like the idea of compulsory tipping. Note the advertisement down the bottom.
Later on, Channel Nine's poll result graphic became smaller and cleaner, but that did nothing to wash away the bias. To be fair, you should be able to figure out the result after only reading the question.

(If you have trouble seeing these small poll graphics, try clicking them for a larger view. You still won't be able to see the "Yes" bar in this one, though.)
You sometimes have to wonder why they even bother asking such obvious questions. Even CNN is not immune:

As Seb said when I first showed him that result, "Funnily enough, that's how much her inheritance was cut by."
Remember that kid in Melbourne who threw a party for 500 people? Should he throw parties on the road and make thousands of dollars from it? I'm sure you can guess what most people think, but again, Channel Nine just had to make sure.

And finally, we cross back to CNN. Not completely full of bias (only 83% full), it's worth mentioning because it's just plain bizarre, especially for CNN. Is it a poll? Is it an advert? I'm not exactly sure what this beast is. Judge for yourself:
